School Needs Analysis

Should We Contract Our Cleaning?

1. The number one reason schools are considering contract cleaning is to save their district money; to reduce significant budget deficits, to save programs in jeopardy of being eliminated, to protect teacher’s benefit packages and even teacher’s jobs.

2. The second reason schools are looking at going to contract cleaning is   because reduced staffing caused by reduced budgets is deteriorating the appearance, and cleanliness, which also increases bacteria and germs.  Simply put, the schools aren’t clean.  Contracting the cleaning ensures staffing levels are kept each day to clean and disinfect the school to the agreed upon schedule.

3. Do you have concerns with attendance and staffing levels to keep the school clean? With Contract Cleaning, back up staffing is in place for breaks and summer scheduling to ensure the deep clean of the schools continue.   Back up personnel are also badged and trained for school year cleaning. Attendance issues are not a factor in contract cleaning.

4. Some communities have been concerned about who we will hire to clean the schools. When we hire our custodial staff, they are local, screened, dedicated members of your community.  They are trained and held to standards for cleaning and professionalism.  We can and have hired deserving staff members from the school district, and given them opportunities for advancement they didn’t have previously, because it is our profession.

Have you found reasons in the above analysis to investigate contract cleaning in your schools?
